Rather than attending Midtown High as he does in the main MCU, this new version of Peter Parker was transferred to another school after Midtown was attacked during a battle between Doctor Strange and a familiar-looking alien monster. It Hasn’t Been Sold Yet
Avengers Towercan be seen in the background during the premiere episode’s opening sequence. Taking place just before the events ofSpider-Man: Homecoming, it looks as though Tony Stark has yet to sell the iconic building as he does in the main MCU timeline.

The First Nod To Civil War
A large “Queens” location title card is shown, just like in the Russo Brothers’Civil Warand more of their MCU-directed movies.

Aunt May’s A Fan
An Iron Man car ornament can be seen in Aunt May’s car while she drives Peter to his high school orientation at Midtown High.
27A Surprising Uncle Ben Reveal
Breaking A Major Story Expectation
It’s confirmed that theMCU’s Uncle Ben is already gone before Peter Parker gets his spider powers, at least in this alt-timeline. This is pretty surprising, seeing how Uncle Ben’s death is typically what motivates Peter to use his new powers responsibly to help others, rather than for his own gain as he had been before he lost his uncle.
26A New Kind of Venom?
The Alien Symbiote Looks To Have Another Alien As Its Host
A monstrous alien appears from a portal in front of Midtown High, resembling the Venom symbiote. However, it could also just be a generic symbiote as there’s nothing the episode to properly identify as the classic symbiote that eventually bonds with Spider-Man in the comics.
25Doctor Strange’s Iconic MCU Theme
From 2016’sDoctor Strange
When Doctor Strange arrives to fight the alien, his MCU theme from composer Michael Giacchino plays. Like Peter Parker, Strange looks to be heavily inspired by Steve Ditko’s original art as well.
24The Eye of Agamotto

Taking place before the events ofAvengers: Infinity War,Doctor Strange still wields the Eye of Agamotto/Time Stone, which he uses during his fight with the monster to reverse a garbage truck crashing into the school. However, there’s still plenty of damage he was unable to reverse.

A Powerful Magic User In The Comics
Peter meets Nico Minoru right before he gets bitten by the spider that also came from the portal. In the comics,Nico is the daughter of dark wizards and a member of the Runaways. She’s also the wielder of the Staff of One.

Simple With All Kinds Of Retro Tech
Months after getting his powers, Peter is shown waking up for class at Rockford High, and his room has the same layout seen inCaptain America:Civil War.

Peter has a crush on his classmate Pearl Pangan. In the comics, Pearl is the Filipino superhero known as Wave who can manipulate water.
